We can provide a variety of nannies and childcare, depending on the needs of each family, nannies pay will also vary depending on the nature of the role, repsonsibilies and number of children they will be looking after, also how experienced and qualified the nanny is.  Below are the different nanny options a family can consider and some guidelines for pay.

Most ‘live out’ nannies, which is the most common type of nanny most families go for, are paid around £14.00 – £16.00 gross per hour, as a guideline ( this can go up to £18.00 gross per hour for families in London).

If you hire a nanny, you will be classed as their employer, you will be responsible for paying the nanny their tax on top and any pension contributions, we can recommend  a specialist nanny payroll company to help you set up pay for your nanny.

Live Out Nannies

Most nannies are ‘live out’, they go to the family home to look after the children, during set days and hours during the week, depending on the needs of your family. We have a wide range of nannies available who are able to look after children, from babies to children of school age and who can work either part time or full time. The cost of a Live Out Nanny will depend on their experience, qualifications, duties required and how many children they will be looking after, as a guideline and current market rates, you will be looking to pay £10.00 – £12.00 NET per hour. This rate may increase if they are looking after children with specific needs such as challenging behavior or special needs.

Live In Nannies

The nanny lives in the family home, usually 5 days a week. The cost is usually less than that of a full time ‘ Live Out’ nanny, as their  food and accommodation is provided for, the family must be able to provide a spare room for the the nanny. The cost again depends on duties required and number of children and hours required, as a guideline for a full time ‘Live In’ Nanny the cost would around £400.00 – £600.00 NET per week. The nanny would work anything from 8-12 hours a day plus 1-2 nights a week babysitting when and if required, they would usually be given weekends and evenings free. If you are a family with a spare room,  that would not mind the idea of the nanny living in your home, this can be a more cost effective and flexible option for childcare
